FAQ
What should I report?
Types of incidents can include, but are not restricted to:
You may record an incident if it was directed at you or if you were a witness or passer by. We do, however, ask that you include as many details as possible of the incident.
Can I remain anonymous?
Yes. We always protect the identity of the individuals who complete reports, whether we have your contact details or not. We allow the option of letting us know who you are in case you would like our help with next steps, such as making a formal report or knowing your rights better. However, we understand that you may not want to reveal your identity. In these cases, you can send us a report, which we will use for our research and statistical purposes, but we will not contact you about it.
What happens after I make a report?
Following the report and if you have given your contact details, you will receive an email from us thanking you for your submission within two working days. We will then review the report and contact you again to let you know whether we think your report should be forwarded to formal channels for investigation. This will usually happen within two weeks.
Depending on whether you decide to pursue the report, we will provide assistance with the formal mechanism, be this a police report or a report to a specialized body. Should you have any questions or wish to follow up on your report, please do not hesitate to contact us on rrm@pfcmalta.org.
